Description
This is a full-year-length, family-style course that is designed to be parent-graded. Lessons include reading, research, videos, external links, and hands-on projects.
Broad topics covered include: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Israel, Northern Europe, Middle East, India, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Each topic has several lessons within it.
Lessons include vocabulary and background information, reading extensions, research, videos, lab experiments, and hands-on projects. Each lesson is designed for family-style use, with extra activities to flesh out the course for upper grades students.
Most lessons will take about a week to complete. You are not expected to complete the entire lesson in one ‘class.’ (Unless you are dedicating an entire day to science!)
This course is designed to be used family-style. Everyone, together, can discuss the topic, complete some of the activities, and watch the video clips. There will be additional activities for upper grades students.
Families may take a classical approach, revisiting the lessons again in a couple of years to take the learning deeper.
Licensing & Access
Purchasing this course licenses it to access for all the students in your family. You will need a gmail account for access. Sharing access codes outside your family is an illegal violation of copyright.
When you download the Class Access page, if you have trouble directly accessing the class:
*Go to Google Classroom
*Use the access code (everything after the equal sign) to join the class
Teacher-Graded Upgrade
